THIRTEEN Acquires ProTrack Video-On-Demand
THIRTEEN,
the flagship public broadcaster in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut
metro area, is now tracking their Video-On-Demand media packages with
ProTrack's exclusive VOD Module. Designed to provide all the metadata
requirements of CableLabs specifications 1.1 and 2.0, ProTrack's
Video-On-Demand Module allows stations to create VOD templates, publish VOD metadata to an
organization's transcoding system, include program descriptions and include
multiple paths per MSO.
"The way Myers' ProTrack VOD Module leverages existing metadata and workflows make this an extremely powerful tool," stated Meg O'Hara, Associate Director, Broadcast Application Technologies at THIRTEEN , "It couldn't have come out at a better time given today's economic challenges to reduce delivery costs. In a word, "Wow!'"
"As the public becomes more interested in access to non-linear video content, interest in our Video-On-Demand Module has been steadily growing," explained Nancy Carter, Director of Marketing and Customer Relations, "Media facilities are finding it a great way to strengthen their brand and expand their audience reach."
