WNMU-TV Transitions to ProTrack TV


NORTHAMPTON, MA - May 29, 2007 - Public TV 13, broadcasting as WNMU-TV, WNMU-DT and TV 13/HD in Marquette, Michigan has chosen ProTrack TV as their next-generation software solution for broadcast management and operations. ProTrack TV will allow Public TV 13 to maintain their existing services throughout their digital transitions and provide the functionality and workflow structure that will enable their station to increase the amount of educational and cultural programming by utilizing several digital streams.

Operating from the Jeanette Bowsent Studios at Northern Michigan University, Public TV 13 is a nonprofit, non-commercial public television station licensed to Northern Michigan University's Board of Trustees. Public TV 13 is a member of the Public Broadcasting Service and provides high-quality, national PBS programming to more than 142,000 people across the Upper Peninsula and Northeast Wisconsin.

To infuse a local flavar to their schedule, Public TV 13 airs many non-PBS syndicated programs as well - including locally produced shows, specials about the Upper Peninsula and a host of outdoor sporting programs. In addition, as a service to the schools in the Upper Great Lakes region, Public TV 13 broadcasts a comprehensive Instructional Television (ITV) schedule. This includes more than 1,000 hours per year of in-class programming for public schools and college credit telecourses for adult learners in the region.
