V-me Launches with ProTrack TV


NORTHAMPTON, MA - March 5, 2007 - ProTrack TV has been chosen to be the program schedule and data distribution platform for V-me.  ProTrack facilitates program scheduling and break localization for subscribing stations.

This Digital network is an unusual public-private partnership forged between the Educational Broadcasting Corporation, the parent of the New York public station WNET; the investment firm the Baeza Group; and the venture capital firm Syncom Funds.

Ve-Me promises to offer "intellegent entertainment." The network has four catagories of programming : kids, lifestyle, current affairs and movies. It includes original productions like "Viva, Voz," a Charlie Rose-style interview show, and material adapted from popular PBS series like Wide Angle."

The network is programmed for the more than 30 million bi-lingual and Spanish-language dominant US Latinos and has launched with station partnerships in major Hispanic Markets including New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, San Francisco, San Antonio, Albuquerque/Santa Fe, Harlingen, San Diego, Sacramento, Fresno, Denver, Tucson and Orlando. Its programming features a mix of original productions, exclusive premieres and acquisitions and the best of public television adapted for American Latinos. Within its first year, V-me expects to grow its distribution to 50 million homes.
