Army & Air Force Exchange Service
NORTHAMPTON,
MA - January 2, 2009 - Myers Information Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce
that the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) has chosen
ProTrack TV to manage
its traffic, content management, invoicing and reporting capabilities
within their broadcast operations center. The federal organization's selection
stemmed from its need to better track its content and revenue generating
responsibilities with a centralized, proven and cost-effective application. Implementation
is expected to be finalized by January, 2009.
AAFES is undergoing a major overhaul of its private video network operations center and a core component of this transition is the implementation of a comprehensive broadcast management solution. This operational enhancement will allow AAFES to deploy a central resource and repository for all of their broadcast and non-broadcast assets, enabling them to easily store, quickly access and strategically repurpose their content. Following an extensive evaluation of comparable software systems, AAFES chose ProTrack TV because it provides the structure they were looking for, is easy to use and can seamlessly integrate with their existing content distribution infrastructure.
The Army & Air Force Exchange Service operates over 100 retail outlets that provide goods and services to U.S. military personnel on bases across the United States, Europe and the Pacific. AAFES is responsible for two video-based program services, Exchange Television (EXTV) and Business Television (BTV), which are distributed to numerous AAFES outlets throughout the world. ProTrack will give AAFES the software tools necessary to localize its broadcast streams so they can more efficiently track their content, clients and revenue generating activities by region.
